More than 350,000 bottles of dietary supplements have been recalled due to a packaging defect that prevents them from meeting federal child-resistant standards. The failure poses a significant risk of poisoning or serious injury if the contents are accessed by young children.
Packaging flaw compromises child-resistant requirements
The recall affects approximately 350,000 units of various supplement products. According to reports on the safety notification, the bottles do not comply with the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. Specifically, the child-resistant closures (CRC) may fail to engage correctly, allowing unauthorized access to the contents.
While the supplements themselves have not been flagged for contamination or formulation errors, the physical failure of the bottle represents a critical safety gap. Federal guidelines require these containers to be significantly difficult for children under five years of age to open within a reasonable time, a standard these batches failed to maintain.

Identification of affected batches and consumer risks
The scope of the recall includes several popular vitamin and mineral supplement lines. Consumers are advised to check the lot numbers and expiration dates on their packaging to determine if their products are part of the recalled inventory.
The primary hazard is accidental ingestion. Many dietary supplements contain iron or other concentrated nutrients that can be toxic to children in high doses. Because the packaging failure may be non-obvious meaning the cap may feel closed even when the safety mechanism is bypassed the risk of unsupervised access is elevated.

Immediate actions for households and remediation steps
Health officials and the manufacturer are urging consumers to immediately move the affected products to a location that is out of reach and sight of children. Consumers should not attempt to fix the caps themselves, as the defect is inherent to the manufacturing of the specific batch of closures.
As noted in the details of the recall process, the company is offering full refunds or replacements for the compromised units. Retailers have been instructed to pull the identified lot numbers from shelves immediately. Consumers should contact the manufacturer's dedicated hotline or visit their website to initiate a return and receive guidance on the safe disposal of the faulty packaging.
