Turtle Beach's new Command Series peripherals feature customizable touchscreens for macro management and system monitoring. Discover the technical specs and release details.

Turtle Beach has announced the Command Series, a new line of high-performance gaming peripherals that feature integrated LCD touchscreens designed for system monitoring and macro management. The lineup includes the Command 07 mechanical keyboard and the Command 09 wireless mouse, both of which attempt to reduce reliance on on-screen overlays by moving utility functions to the hardware itself.

Command 07 utilizes mechanical precision and LCD utility

The Command 07 serves as the flagship of the series, featuring a full-sized mechanical layout equipped with Turtle Beach’s proprietary Titan II Optical Switches. These switches are rated for a 100-million-click lifecycle and utilize a stabilized stem design to minimize key wobble. Details on the keyboard's construction indicate a focus on durability, complemented by a sandblasted aluminum top plate.

The defining feature is the "Command Display," a rectangular touchscreen located in the upper right section of the board. This display allows users to toggle system settings, monitor PC performance metrics (such as CPU and GPU load), and manage media playback without alt-tabbing out of active applications. While the hardware supports extensive customization through the Swarm II software, the utility of this screen depends heavily on the driver's ability to maintain low-latency updates for real-time telemetry.

Command 09 brings touchscreen telemetry to a wireless mouse

The Command 09 wireless gaming mouse extends the touchscreen concept to a smaller form factor. It features a circular LCD positioned just behind the scroll wheel. According to technical specifications for the mouse, the display is intended for quick DPI adjustments, battery level monitoring, and profile switching.

Internally, the Command 09 is built on the Owl-Eye 26K Optical Sensor, capable of 26,000 DPI and a tracking speed of 650 IPS. To ensure the additional power draw of the LCD does not compromise wireless performance, the mouse utilizes 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the placement of the screen suggests a specific grip style; palm-grip users may find the screen obscured during active play, making it more of a configuration tool than a reactive heads-up display.

Performance specifications and hardware tradeoffs

The Command Series targets the enthusiast market by pairing these visual features with high-end polling rates and debounce technology. Both devices support the Swarm II ecosystem, which handles the RGB lighting synchronization and the programming of the touchscreen modules.

The implementation of touchscreens on peripherals introduces a specific set of operational tradeoffs. By moving system monitoring to the keyboard or mouse, users gain desk-space efficiency but introduce a new layer of potential software instability. The success of the Command Series will likely hinge on whether the Swarm II software can provide seamless integration with third-party monitoring tools and game-specific macros.

According to product release information, the Command 07 is expected to retail for approximately $199.99, while the Command 09 mouse is positioned at $149.99. Both units are scheduled for a mid-2026 release, though final regional pricing and specific software compatibility lists have not yet been fully disclosed.
